TSCF is a catalyst for a movement of ideas to shore up the social, economic, moral and political environment through the reinforcement of the social link. It aims at promoting shared understanding and values for the development of an inclusive community.

To achieve this objective, TSCF leads socio-economic research and debate. As a global think tank, using the resources of modern science in a broad and humanist perspective, it pools the different experiences of members from a wide range of backgrounds to come to a more consistent understanding of the contemporary developments. It is thus able to formulate critical perspectives, as well as alternatives to conventional policy. TSCF is a natural heir of The Club of Rome, and develops internationally an approach comparable to the one of the Communitarian Network in the US. 

Moreover, TSCF generates awareness through the dissemination of the appropriate scientific knowledge among the public. It sets up international conferences, edits an international journal, and promotes innovations of private and public governance or management that are likely to contribute to the development of social capital and social cohesion. 

TSCF immediate field of action is Europe as a geographic and cultural entity. Nevertheless, TSCF welcomes collaborations with persons, or organizations, located in other economically advanced areas of the world that would carry forward goals convergent with its own. 

TSCF's political line is original and clearly independent of current policymaking.
