The Maltese Archipelago lies virtually at the centre of the Mediterranean, with Malta 93 kms south of Sicily and 288 kms north of Africa. Gibraltar is 1,826 kms to the West and Tel Aviv is 1,940 kms to the East. Malta's weather and climate are strongly influenced by the sea and have a very characteristic Mediterranean flavor, similar to that found in southern Italy or southern Greece. Temperature is ideal at the time of the conference. Malta International Airport is located between the villages of Luqa and Gudja, 10kms from the capital Valletta.
