Speakers
report individually or collectively on the status of a subject. Participation
as speaker is competitive. The final program is tailored to the best proposals
selected according to TSCF’s standards of quality.
Keynote
speakers can
be chosen among participants who have submitted a regular completed research
paper if the conference program committee judges their abstract of
particular interest.
Paper or panel session chairs introduce the speakers, start and end the sessions in an orderly and timely manner, lead and conclude the discussions, and report any encountered problem during their session.
Participation
as discussant in paper or panel sessions is
also encouraged from academicians, policymakers, social workers, or any person whose activity is related to the
subject.
Workshops
allow participants to debate of a particular issue in a 120 minutes roundtable
session. They contribute to elaborate later a policy recommendation
report. Moderators launch and lead roundtable discussion groups, and help
these groups produce results.
Any person interested in the subject can participate as an attendee. Participants attend sessions, ask questions, and participate in discussions.
The conference chair and co-chairs are responsible for organizing the conference, managing providers and support staff, and enforcing the conference regulations. They may take measures to assure that appropriate order and decorum are maintained throughout the conference.
