How to Submit

GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

The following guidelines will help authors submit appropriate documents.

Information to be sent:

The following information should be sent to TISR:

Contact information: name of the author(s), institutional affiliation, postal and e-mail address, office telephone and fax numbers.
Biographical note (up to 200 words).
Anonymous abstract (not exceeding 300 words) and keywords (up to 6).
Paper submitted for publication.

All this information - on separate documents - should be e-mailed as file attachments to:

Acknowledgements and responsibilities:

Authors must follow the regulations indicated hereafter:

Papers should have been corrected for errors when presented, and will be regarded as accurate. Authors are responsible for factual content.
Authors should indicate sources of funding when required by these sources and any restrictions on publication placed on them by sponsors.
It is the duty of the authors to clear copyright on data of all types.
Simultaneous or later publishing at other editors is not permitted.
Our publications are original. Authors must certify that papers presented have not been and will not be published elsewhere.
No websites should be listed in the text or in the bibliography unless they provide their readers with a reciprocal link to TISR.
Authors are expected to support the editorial work by taking TSCF 2-year membership.

Authors not conforming to these regulations expose themselves to rejection and possible blacklisting.

General requirements:

Papers should meet the following general rules for presentation:

The recommended standard language is U.S. English.
Papers should normally not exceed 9000 words. The typical global size of an article is 15-20 pages, A4 format.
Hypotheses should be explicitly and clearly presented at the beginning of each paper, and findings should be explicitly and clearly presented at the end of each paper.
The general style of writing should be simple, clear, and the excessive use of specialized or academic vocabulary should be avoided.
The abstract should be carefully written as it is the first contact that the readers will have with the article.

Rules for formal presentation:

Papers should be in TISR format PRIOR to submission.

Title and author’s name: centered, bold, upper-case
Headings: aligned left, lower-case, bold, italics, numbered
Subheadings: aligned left, lower-case, italics, underlined
Sub-subheadings: aligned left, lower-case, italics
Text: single spaced, justified
Print Font: Century Gothic, size 12
Paragraphs: not indented
Page Makeup: 4 cms left, 2.5 cms right, 4 cms bottom, 2.5 cms top
Dates thus: July 1, 2005
Notes: before the bibliography, size 11, no footnotes
Quotation marks: double
Graphs: included in the text, should if possible be in Word format. Titles, sources and immediate comments should be in italics, size 11.

Bibliographical referencing in the body of the text should appear as follows:

When there there are up to three authors, all names should be referenced in the text. Where there are more than three authors, only the name of the first should appear in the text followed by “et al.”. However, the full list of authors should appear in the bibliography. Only sources mentioned in the text should be referenced in the bibliography. Internet references are expressed like normal references.

Papers not conforming to these rules will not be taken into consideration.
